Sukyong and Phil Melton welcomed Charles Michael Melton into the world on January 4, 1991, in Juneau, Alaska. His mother is a Korean immigrant who immigrated to the US in 1990 along with his father, who is an English-born American. Interestingly, their oldest child is Melton.
